Job summary

Atrium Health's GI Surgical Oncology team in Charlotte, NC is seeking Advanced Practice Providers to deliver high-quality care for patients with gastrointestinal cancers from esophagus to rectum in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The APP will conduct history and physicals, manage consultations, perform rounds, educate patients, write prescriptions, order labs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. No weekend or night call; DEA licensed or eligible; NP or PA credentials required.

Qualifications

• DEA license required or eligible to practice.
• Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state.
• Prescriptive authority through state boards required.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations.
• Record examinations, assessments and plans in medical record.
• Assist with new consults and admissions.
• Daily rounds on inpatient and floor patients.
• Determine treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team.
• Write prescriptions and administer medications.
• Order and interpret daily labs/imaging.
• Educate patients and families on disease and care.
• Participate in group meetings and standard procedures development.
• No weekend or night call.
