Huntington Beach Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a G.I. Technician to support invasive GI procedures and ensure sterile technique. You will hand instruments and supplies to the physician and assist the team in delivering safe patient care on a daily basis.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, GI experience a plus, and current BLS certification. This per diem day shift role offers competitive compensation and opportunities to grow within a community-focused hospital.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Graduate of a training program or on the job training with a minimum of 2 years experience (GI setting) preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsabilidades

• Scrub assistant to the physician during invasive GI procedures.
• Hands sterilized instruments, scopes and supplies to the physician during the procedure.
• Assist co-workers in providing continuous, quality patient care for adolescents, adults and older adults.
• Adhere to regulations, standards, hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Conhecimentos

GI setting experience

Formação

High School Diploma or equivalent

GI training program or on-the-job training (2+ years GI setting)

Current BLS (AHA) certification
