Job summary

Penn Medicine in Philadelphia is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our ambulatory Gastroenterology & Hepatology clinic. The APP will manage direct and indirect patient care for GI diseases across esophageal, gastric, small bowel, colonic and pancreaticobiliary disorders in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires independence within a collaborative multi-disciplinary model, with growth potential through Penn Medicine’s clinical care, research and education mission.

Qualifications

• Requires Master of Arts or Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
• Certification: AANPCB/NCCPA Board Certification.
• PA-CRNP/PA licensure and prescriptive authority required.
• ACLS and BLS/CPR required depending on setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct clinical care for patients according to established protocols in collaboration with the team.
• Maintains accurate medical records in the EHR.
• Function within scope of practice with supervising physician.
• Perform approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement and regulatory activities.
• Precept NP/PA students and other learners.
