Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital seeks a Clinical Staff Nurse to provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered care in the GI Lab under the Perioperative Services umbrella.

You will apply Watson Model care, participate in rounds, and coordinate interdisciplinary activities to support safe, effective outcomes. The role requires a California RN license, at least two years of medical-surgical experience, and current BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• BSN required; may hire without BSN if degree completed within 5 years of hire date
• Current California Nursing license is required
• Minimum of two years medical-surgical or equivalent experience
• GI Lab experience preferred; BLS/ACLS current; bilingual Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates nursing processes and problem-solving to meet patient/family needs.
• Prioritizes and organizes patient care with accurate documentation.
• Maintains age-appropriate care and follows hospital policies and quality improvements.
• Communicates effectively using SBAR and participates in hand-offs.
• Coordinates discharge planning and works with Care Managers during patient stay.
