Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in Gardena, CA, seeks a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality, patient/family-centered care on an 8-hour shift. You will use the Watson Model of Care and collaborate with perioperative services to support positive outcomes.

The ideal candidate has a California RN license, at least 2 years of medical-surgical or GI lab experience, and is bilingual Spanish preferred. BSN strongly preferred; ACLS/BLS certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• BSN required or must complete within 5 years of hire date
• Minimum of two (2) years medical-surgical or equivalent experience; GI Lab preferred
• Current California Nursing license (RN)
• CGRN or related certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates nursing processes to assess and plan patient care.
• Prioritizes and organizes patient care and follows through on planned care.
• Provides age-appropriate care and adheres to hospital policies and documentation.
• Communicates using SBAR during hand-offs and documents care in IPOC.
• Coordinates discharge planning with Care Managers and collaborates with the care team.
