Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, seeks a Clinical Nurse RN to join the GI Lab team. The role covers pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care, assisting in endoscopic and GI procedures, and providing moderate sedation when needed.

The RN must hold a Missouri license, BSN or ADN, BCLS and ACLS, and have at least 2 years of critical care or related experience. The position includes on-call duties after hours, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of critical care or related experience (ICU/CCU/GI/PACU or ED).
• Ability to perform independently in critical situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment and care of patients undergoing gastroenterology procedures.
• Assist in endoscopic procedures and other GI procedures including biopsies and manometry.
• Provide moderate sedation if needed and monitor patient during procedures.
• Set up equipment, obtain records, and document patient data.
• Be part of on-call team for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays.
