Job summary

Truman Medical Centers seeks a Clinical Nurse RN to support the Lakewood GI Lab in Kansas City, MO. The RN will provide comprehensive to peri-procedural care for GI procedures, including pre- and post-procedure support, and assist with endoscopy and related therapies.

The role requires a Missouri RN license, BCLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years in critical care or related settings. Responsibilities include equipment setup, patient monitoring, and after-hours on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN required.
• Current Missouri RN license.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to perform independently in critical situations.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care or related experience (ICU, CCU, GI, PACU or ED).

Responsibilities

• Assess and care for patients undergoing GI procedures (pre-, intra-, post-).
• Assist in endoscopic procedures including liver biopsies and other GI tests.
• Set up equipment for procedures and monitor patient data during care.
• Deliver therapy and respond to emergencies; participate in after-hours on-call.
• Maintain equipment and ensure sterile techniques throughout procedures.
