Job summary

UH Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, seeks a Clinical Nurse RN for the Lakewood GI Lab. The RN will assist in pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care for GI procedures, including endoscopy and biopsies, with a focus on patient safety and data collection.

Duties include equipment setup and potential emergency interventions. Requirements include BSN or ADN, MO RN license, BCLS and ACLS, and at least 2 years in critical care or related areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in critical care or related settings (ICU, CCU, GI, PACU, ED).
• Ability to perform independently in critical situations.
• Comfort with procedural support and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment and care of patients undergoing GI procedures.
• Prepare and assist with endoscopic and GI procedures, including biopsies.
• Deliver pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care and monitor patients.
• Set up equipment, record data, and ensure post-procedure safety.
• Participate in after-hours on-call coverage and emergency interventions.
• Maintain equipment cleaning and maintenance per standards.
