A leading gastroenterology practice in Katy, Texas, is seeking an Experienced Histopathology Technician to join their in-house pathology team. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Histotechnology with at least 2 years of experience in the field. Responsibilities include processing GI and liver biopsy specimens and performing various lab procedures while maintaining compliance with quality control standards. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a histopathology or surgical pathology laboratory.
• ASCP certification (HT or HTL) preferred.
• Familiarity with CLIA and CAP requirements is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accession, label, and process GI and liver biopsy specimens.
• Perform gross examination assistance, embedding, microtomy, and slide preparation.
• Maintain quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) records.
