ADG Pathology in Houston, TX is seeking a Histology Technician to produce high quality diagnostic materials and support pathologists with specimens from clients. You will perform QC and documentation using LIS and spreadsheets while maintaining instrumentation and workspace.

Requirements include a High school diploma or GED, NAACLS-accredited program or related science degree, HT/HTL registration (QIHC preferred), and 1–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong preference for Associates or Bachelors degree in a related science field, or NAACLS accredited Histotechnician/Histotechnologist program or 60 semester hours with 24 biology/chemistry.
• Valid HT or HTL registration; HT/HTLQIHC preferred.
• 1-5 years of prior experience.

Responsabilités

• Produce high quality diagnostic materials as requested by the pathologist to progress each specimen. Materials may be generated via grossing, processing, embedding, H&E slides, special stains, recuts, deepers, IHC, or send-out work.
• Performs Quality Control and documentation of all processes using the LIS, spreadsheets, and manual methods as applicable; understands hard stops to resolve issues for patient care.
• Cleans and/or maintains instrumentation, work benches and spaces, archived materials, and related products.
