Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or related science required.
• ASCP certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical specimens for Histologic processing as per SOPs.
• Accession and label specimens accurately.
• Describe gross features of specimens and document findings.
• Dissect and prepare tissues for histology; may perform embedding, microtomy, staining
• Follow safety, quality control, and CLIA/CAP regulations; maintain clean work area.
