Job summary

A leading gastroenterology practice in Katy, Texas is seeking an Experienced Histopathology Technician to join their pathology team. Responsibilities include processing GI and liver biopsy specimens, performing special stains, and maintaining quality compliance. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Histotechnology or Medical Laboratory Science with 2+ years of lab experience. Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a histopathology or surgical pathology lab.
• ASCP certification (HT or HTL) preferred.
• Familiarity with CLIA and CAP requirements strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accession, label, and process GI and liver biopsy specimens according to laboratory SOPs.
• Perform gross examination assistance, embedding, microtomy, and slide preparation.
• Collaborate closely with pathologists, gastroenterologists, and the lab director.
