Guthrie’s gastroenterology practice in Sayre, PA, is seeking a Full-Time Patient Service Specialist to deliver exceptional front-office support. You will greet patients, register them, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and collect copays in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work closely with clinical teams, maintain accurate patient records, and uphold Guthrie Medical Group’s Service Excellence Standards while ensuring confidentiality and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients courteously and professionally upon arrival.
• Answer phones and assist with scheduling and information.
• Register patients and verify demographics and insurance data.
• Verify eligibility and assist with pre-authorizations/referrals as needed.
• Collect copays, deductibles, and payments; balance cash drawer daily.
• Liaise between patients, providers, and staff; communicate delays and updates.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and protect patient information.
• Perform other tasks and participate in quality initiatives as assigned.
