Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a GI endoscopy technician to support all general endoscopy cases. You will assist the Endoscopist and RN, prepare the procedure room, position patients, and ensure equipment is ready and sterile.

This role requires a High School diploma, at least six months in an Endoscopy unit, and AHA BLS certification. On-the-job training will cover scope handling, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and maintaining logs and supplies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six months experience working in an Endoscopy unit.
• AHA BLS certification required; non-licensed must obtain before orientation end.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and RN with endoscopic procedures and setup.
• Prepare and position patient, confirm procedure, and manage specimens.
• Maintain an organized field and ensure a clean, sterile environment.
• Handle endoscopy equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Assist with decontamination and scope cleaning per MSDS guidelines.
