Job summary

Capital Health seeks a GI Endoscopy Technician to support endoscopy procedures and assist the Endoscopist in a fast-paced suite. You will prepare rooms, anticipate physician needs, and help with instrument passage and patient safety.

Responsibilities include sterilization, documentation, and turnover of the endoscopy suite. On-call weeknights, weekends, and holidays are required, with coverage at Hopewell and Hamilton locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months experience in an Endoscopy unit.
• AHA BLS certification required or obtainable prior to end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and RN during endoscopic procedures and setup.
• Prepare procedure room, assist with positioning and patient care.
• Clean, disinfect and sterilize endoscopes and equipment.
• Maintain supplies, log decontamination solutions and scope usage.
• Transport patients and specimens; ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
