Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a GI endoscopy technician to support all general endoscopy cases. You will assist the Endoscopist, prepare procedures, and help with patient comfort and safety in the endoscopy suite.

Responsibilities include cleaning and sterilizing scopes, maintaining equipment, room turnover, and following safety and aseptic techniques. Minimum requirements: high school diploma, six months in an Endoscopy unit, AHA BLS, and six months of on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months experience in an Endoscopy unit.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Six months of on-the-job training in endoscopy.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Endoscopist and RN during endoscopic procedures.
• Prepare the procedure room and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Assist with patient transport and post-procedure care.
• Clean, decontaminate and high-level disinfection of scopes.
• Maintain equipment and room turnover per endoscopy guidelines.
