Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego seeks an experienced registered nurse to support patients, staff and physicians, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality care in the designated patient population. This role leads nursing and PSR staff, serves as a technical nursing expert, and participates in endoscopy procedures with conscious sedation.

Required California RN license, BLS and ACLS, plus 1 year of clinic RN experience.

Qualifications

Must have California RN license and 1 year RN experience in a clinic.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Ambulatory care experience preferred.
Successful completion of conscious sedation training.

Responsibilities

Assist patients, staff and physicians to maintain efficiency and quality care.
Assist with leadership of the Nursing and Patient Service Representative Staff.
Serve as technical nursing expert for assigned areas.
Exhibits critical thinking skills in all situations.
Monitor physiologic status during endoscopic procedures requiring conscious sedation.
Prepare, clean and sterilize endoscopes and related equipment.
Monitor and discharge patients post-procedure and manage room readiness.
Accurately document all patient encounter data and actions.
Respect infection control policies and universal precautions.
Coordinate pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure follow-up.
Support PSRs with scheduling and front desk responsibilities.
