Job summary

Northwestern Memorial is seeking a Procedure Tech to support nurses, physicians and other health care professionals in daily department operations. You will help with patient flow, prepare exam/procedure rooms, assist during procedures and ensure proper cleaning and restocking of supplies.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, CPR Certification (BLS), and strong communication. Prior patient-care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• CPR Certification (BLS)
• Behavioral Attributes: Communicate effectively, clearly and medical-professionally with Physician, Nurse and Patient.

Responsibilities

• Cares for the patient throughout the treatment/procedure according to department and hospital standards of nursing care, age-specific sensitivities, and “patients' first” guidelines.
• Provides systems support by preparing procedure rooms for patients prior to their arrival in the department and work area
• Assists in preparing patient for exam/procedure (department specific)
