Northwell Health is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians during endoscopic procedures and ensure a safe, well-prepared environment. You will care for instruments, anticipate needs, and coordinate with nurses to support efficient patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, recording patient data, maintaining equipment, and stocking supplies. The role requires accuracy, teamwork, and compliance with safety policies in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in health care.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Word, and Olympus Image Manager.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work under pressure.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assists physician with all endoscopic procedures by using universal precautions and recording patient data during procedures.
• Verifies patient name, companion, and procedure type; prepares room, endoscope, and supplies.
• Maintains and cleans equipment; reports malfunctions to the nurse in charge.
• Enters patient data into Image Manager Computer System as trained by manufacturer.
• Stocks and maintains supplies and equipment in procedure rooms daily.
• Attends staff meetings and in-services to update knowledge in Endoscopy field.
• Performs secretarial duties and transporter duties as assigned by Head Nurse.
