Job summary

Blexity is seeking a Medical Assistant/GI Scope Technician to support outpatient gastroenterology procedures, including traditional MA duties and GI scope reprocessing tasks. You will help prep rooms, take vitals, and assist with endoscopy workflows.

You will follow infection control standards, document in the EHR, and coordinate with providers while maintaining equipment and supplies in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to lift, move, or position patients or equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, take vitals, histories, and medication lists; document in the EHR.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Educate patients on procedure prep and after-visit care.
• Perform high-level disinfection and reprocessing of GI endoscopes.
• Manage patient flow, schedule, and insurance verifications as needed.
• Maintain exam rooms and inventory; ensure OSHA/HIPAA compliance.
