Job summary

The Center for Coastal Studies invites an early career professional to join the Global Ghost Gear Initiative internship. This 6-month program blends remote work with field experience in Provincetown, MA, focusing on ALDFG coordination, outreach, and data collection.

Gaining exposure to international collaboration and domestic initiatives, the intern will assist with communications, project materials, and stakeholder engagement while supporting hands-on field tasks on Cape Cod.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or work experience in a related field.
• Dedication and passion for the stewardship of the oceans.
• Awareness of and interest in ghost gear.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities for the GGGI internship remotely and on Cape Cod.
• Engage volunteers and members; draft communications.
• Assist with project write-ups, presentations, and external materials.
• Contribute to field work tasks in Provincetown, MA, addressing ALDFG and debris.
• Support data collection, analyses, and partner organization outreach.
