Job summary

Coastal Studies is seeking an early career professional to support the Global Ghost Gear Initiative and CCS on an internship combining remote work and field experience. The six‑month program includes three months of remote work with GGGI and three months in Provincetown, MA.

You will draft blogs, help update project write-ups, coordinate events, and assist with data collection and outreach, while gaining exposure to ocean conservation and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or work experience in a related field.
  • Dedication and passion for the stewardship of the oceans.
  • Awareness of and interest in ghost gear.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and comfort with outdoor work in varied weather.

Responsibilities

  • Draft blogs, newsletters, and interviews for storytelling opportunities.
  • Update project write-ups on the GGGI website and assemble materials.
  • Support partner calls, stakeholder identification, and event logistics.
  • Conduct an independent research project aligned with intern interests and needs.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and track deliverables.
  • Assist with field work planning and data collection in Cape Cod.
