Job summary

Locke Building is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead ground-up excavation projects in Oregon. You will bid excavation work, develop excavation plans, supervise crews and subcontractors, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have extensive earthwork knowledge, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills to coordinate on-site teams and drive safety and quality. This is a full-time on-site role requiring travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills with a team-first attitude.
• 3+ years of experience running equipment on excavation projects.
• Proven ability to manage crews and coordinate subcontractors.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, site plans, and soil reports.

About the Role

Locke Building is looking for an experienced Project Manager with extensive experience in excavation and leading ground-up projects. The job will include assisting in bidding excavation projects, creating excavation plans, managing employees and subcontractors, and overseeing the project.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and progress reports, adjusting schedules as needed
• Conduct site visits and inspections to maintain quality control

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience actually running equipment
• Strong knowledge of earthwork and site development
• Proven ability to manage crews effectively
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, site plans, and soil reports
• Valid driver's license, ability to travel to job sites
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a team-first attitude
• Willing to work long hours when needed
