BW ESS is seeking a BESS Asset Manager for Germany to own the operational and commercial performance of our German portfolio. You will oversee performance, contract management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance across utility-scale assets, with coordination across RTM providers, OEMs, and service partners.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in utility-scale BESS, renewables, grid infrastructure, power generation, energy asset management, or a closely related field.
• Experience managing or supporting operational energy assets, ideally in Germany or another European power market.
• Understanding of battery systems, lithium-ion technology, inverters, BMS, EMS/SCADA, grid connections, and asset performance metrics.
• Commercial exposure to energy markets, route-to-market arrangements, optimisation, balancing markets, intraday/day-ahead trading, or asset revenue management.
• Familiarity with German energy market structures, TSOs, DSOs, BNetzA, EEX, grid codes, and ancillary service products would be highly valuable.
• Experience working with data tools such as PowerBI, SQL, Excel, or similar platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and monitor the performance, availability, degradation, cycle counts, and operational health of utility-scale BESS assets.
• Analyze SCADA, EMS, and asset data to identify underperformance, diagnose root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with technical teams and service providers.
• Work with route-to-market providers and optimisers to monitor and improve commercial performance across German balancing and wholesale markets.
• Support and oversee optimiser, O&M, OEM, EPC, and other service provider contracts, ensuring obligations and KPIs are met.
• Review invoices, manage budget inputs, support OPEX/CAPEX tracking, and contribute to medium- and long-term cost and revenue forecasting.
• Maintain warranty registers, monitor warranty periods, coordinate claims, and manage related documentation and stakeholder processes.
• Support commissioning, control system setup, EMS/software integration, data validation, testing, and handover into operations.
