BW ESS is looking for a BESS Asset Manager for Germany to take ownership of the performance, commercial optimisation, and operational management of our German battery energy storage assets.
This role is suited to someone with a blend of technical and commercial experience: a person who understands how utility-scale battery or power assets perform operationally, how they generate value in energy markets, and how to manage contracts, data, counterparties, and regulatory requirements across the full asset lifecycle.
We are especially interested in candidates with experience in utility-scale BESS, renewables, grid infrastructure, power markets, or energy asset management, ideally with exposure to the German energy market.
BW ESS is a global energy storage owner-operator, moving with speed to develop, deliver, and operate market-leading projects.
The business is active in the UK, Australia, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Sweden. It has more than 540MWh of operating Battery Energy Storage Systems, with approximately 12GWh under construction and a development pipeline of several gigawatts.
Part of BW Group, BW ESS builds on decades of global infrastructure experience, takes a long-term view of projects and partnerships, and focuses on unlocking value throughout the energy storage asset lifecycle.
