Mindrift is running a paid, 3-day in-person study in Midtown Manhattan to understand how German speakers use their phones and apps.

We’re looking for native German speakers in New York who grew up in Germany, use German daily, and are available for three consecutive days starting October 16. Participants are paid $100 per hour, with a total cap of $2,400. Participation is voluntary and consent will be signed.

Qualifications

• 18+ and currently living in NYC.
• A native German speaker who grew up in Germany.
• You use German in everyday life: texting friends, email, notes.
• You’ve used a smartphone as your main personal phone for 3+ years.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
• Available for 3 consecutive days (Mon–Wed or Thu–Sat), starting October 16 on Friday.
• Not currently employed by a tech or AI company.
