Job summary

Gaia in Boulder, Colorado is seeking a German Language Lead to drive our member experience in German-speaking markets. This onsite role requires a US visa and on-campus work in Louisville, CO. Active Gaia membership is preferred.

You will collaborate across Product, Engineering, Marketing and Content to ensure accurate localization, manage release schedules, and advocate for our German language business with stakeholders. Strong leadership and AI fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or current US work visa is required.
• Native German speaker.
• Deep understanding of the German conscious media landscape.
• Digital product and media experience.
• Understanding of localization best practices.
• Familiarity with Gaia content.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI-powered tools to accelerate innovation and execution.
• Comfortable using English for daily communications.
• Demonstrated collaboration skills.
• Excellent time management and organization.
• On-site work ability in Louisville, CO.
• Active Gaia membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overall health of our German language business and leadership from the German speaker perspective.
• Advocate for the German language business across Gaia and collaborate with multiple functions.
• Quality assurance of translated content; ensure localization by region.
• Publishing: prepare and schedule German content for release using CMS and tools.
• Determine content localization strategy (subtitling, dubbing, voice overs).
• Manage the German release schedule.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver a quality experience.
• Work with Customer Relations to ensure high-quality German customer support.
• Coordinate with Marketing to ensure materials are accurate for promotional needs.
• Partner with Content to influence German productions and localization workflow.
