Job summary

American University is seeking dynamic Language Coaches to join the CLEAR team. You will work with enrolled AU students to develop their world language skills and support language courses on campus.

The role is part-time, 10 hours per week, with shifts typically 2 hours long. Prior teaching experience is valued, and candidates must be native or fluent in the target language; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Be a native or highly fluent speaker of the language you intend to coach.
• Candidates will be tested to assess grammatical, oral and writing skills in the target language.
• Previous experience with teaching and/or training is highly desired.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the work done by the faculty in the department of World Languages and Cultures at American University.
• Host staff and resources to enhance the language courses offered on campus and to facilitate AU students’ language learning experience overall.
• Other duties assigned.
