The Center for Language Exploration, Acquisition, and Research (CLEAR) supports faculty and language programs on campus by hosting staff and resources to enhance students’ language learning experiences.

The Center for Language Exploration, Acquisition, and Research(CLEAR) supports the work done by the faculty in the department ofWorld Languages and Cultures at American University by hostingstaff and resources to enhance the language courses offered oncampus and to facilitate AU students’ language learning experienceoverall.
CLEAR is the perfect place for you to share your language andculture with other students at AU and to embrace different culturesthroughout the Academic Year. One of CLEAR’s most sought afterresources is its language coaching team: It is made up of nativespeakers of all the languages taught on campus. Depending on thenumber of students taking any one language on a given semester,individual language coaching teams can contain as many as 5 peopleor as few as 1 person.
