Job summary

Welo Data is seeking detail-oriented Data Labeling Analysts to support speech and voice AI systems onsite in the United States. The role focuses on building high-quality datasets with domain expertise in German, requiring strong attention to detail and careful data handling.

You will evaluate AI model outputs, conduct audit-based reviews, and help improve evaluation frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.

Qualifications

• German language fluency at a native level.
• Strong written communication and language fundamentals.
• 1 year of work experience in data labeling, annotation, or related content work, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks.
• Comfort working in structured, process-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI model outputs and provide structured, high-quality feedback.
• Perform audit-based reviews of data and model behavior, identifying patterns, edge cases, and failure modes.
• Apply guidelines thoughtfully and flag when they don’t reflect real-world scenarios.
• Contribute to improving evaluation frameworks, not just executing them.
• Identify trends in model performance and communicate insights clearly.
• Participate in team discussions, calibrations, and stakeholder syncs.
• Partner with leads and cross-functional teams to refine quality standards.
• Document findings in a clear, concise, and actionable way.
