Job summary

Bay Pines VA Healthcare System's Geriatrics and Extended Care Service seeks an experienced Physician (Geriatrics) to collaborate with the HBPC Medical Director for medical care delivered by the HBPC team. This position is located at the Lee County Healthcare Center in Cape Coral, Florida and is aligned under the Section Chief of Home Based Primary Care.

Eligibility includes Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) participation, full and unrestricted licensure in the United States, and board

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Board eligibility or board certification in the relevant specialty (Geriatrics).
• Experience with Home Based Primary Care or geriatric home-based programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care and oversight for HBPC patients.
• Collaborate with the HBPC Medical Director and Facility leadership.
• Supervise HBPC providers, residents, and students as assigned.
• Develop and oversee Medical Care Plans and clinical protocols for HBPC.
• Coordinate care to ensure timely access, safety and quality outcomes.
