Job summary
CareMed Health Solutions is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide wound services to residents in long-term care facilities. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and coordinate with primary care physicians to manage complex wounds and treatment plans.
The role requires an AR NP license, Board Certification, and experience with wound care in geriatric populations, including wound vacs and DME.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted NP license in Arkansas and board certification.
- Experience with wound care including chronic, debilitating, stalled or infected wounds.
- Familiar with wound care products such as collagens, alginates, foams, silvers.
- Comfort diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed etiology wounds; Kennedy ulcers.
- Ability to stage pressure injuries per NPIAP guidelines.
- Experience with wound vacs and DME; comfortable with EMR usage.
Responsibilities
- Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, per Arkansas law.
- Order, review, and follow up on treatments and diagnostic testing.
- Communicate with nursing home staff regularly about changes in condition and care plan.
- Collaborate with the primary care physician to coordinate patient care.
