Job summary
CareMed Health Solutions is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to deliver wound care services to residents in long-term care facilities. You will prescribe medications, review treatments, and coordinate with nursing and physicians to optimize care.
The role requires an Arkansas NP license, board certification, wound care experience, and comfort with EMR systems. A collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment is offered with opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted NP license in Arkansas.
- Board Certification in a relevant NP field.
- DEA licensure (optional).
- Clinical experience in adult, family, or geriatric care and wound management.
- Comfort diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous or mixed wounds.
- Ability to stage pressure injuries per NPIAP guidelines.
- Familiar with advanced wound care products and wound vacs.
- Experience in long-term care settings and EMR use.
Responsibilities
- Provide wound care services for long-term care residents.
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances per AR law.
- Order and review treatments and diagnostic tests and follow up.
- Communicate changes in patient condition with nursing staff.
- Collaborate with primary care physicians and care teams.
