Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Wellness Nurse for a part-time day shift (6am-2:30pm). You will support residents' health through clinical monitoring and assist community nurses, caregivers, and medication staff to ensure regulatory compliance and excellent care.

Ideal candidates have a practical nursing background, an active license (LPN or RN), and experience in geriatric assessment. Candidates should bring compassion, eagerness to learn, and strong teamwork to a warm,

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current nursing license and state registration (LPN or RN).
• Three years’ experience in assessment and geriatric nursing, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordination of the resident admission process including screening, assessment, and care needs
• Ensure care is delivered as indicated in resident care plans
• Medication and treatment administration and ensure medications are administered per physicians’ orders
• Assistance with coordinating care and services with other outside providers including resident physicians
• Document and report care provided and resident observations including unusual or significant changes
• Maintain a working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures
