Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities in Ohio is seeking a part-time Wellness Nurse to support residents through clinical monitoring and coordination with nurses, caregivers, and medication staff. The role requires teamwork, adaptability, and a warm, encouraging demeanor.

Responsibilities include screening admissions, ensuring care per plans, medication administration, coordinating with outside providers, documenting observations, and staying current with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures, dictated for compliance
• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing
• Current nursing license and state registration (LPN or RN)
• Three years’ experience in assessment and geriatric nursing, preferred
• A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for our Residents

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordination of the resident admission process including screening, assessment, and care needs
• Ensure care is delivered as indicated in resident care plans
• Medication and treatment administration and ensure medications are administered per physicians’ orders
• Assistance with coordinating care and services with other outside providers including resident physicians
• Document and report care provided and resident observations including unusual or significant changes
• Maintain a working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures
