Job summary

Majestic Care of Southport is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver high‑quality rehabilitative care for residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will implement individualized treatment plans and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure resident-centered therapy and quality of life.

The role requires current state licensure as an SLP; CCC-SLP preferred with CFY options considered.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP preferred; CF candidates may be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting.
• Familiarity with Medicare, PDPM, and SNF documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ speech, language, cognitive communication and swallowing.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on findings and resident goals.
• Provide interventions for speech, voice, fluency, cognition and dysphagia disorders.
• Educate residents, families and caregivers on strategies for communication and safe swallowing.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, supportive therapy environment and promote resident participation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for coordinated care.
