Job summary

Majestic Care of Southport is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our compassionate team. You will evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders, implementing individualized plans to improve communication and safe swallowing.

Collaborate with nursing, dietary, PT/OT, and social work to coordinate care. Maintain accurate documentation, meet HIPAA and SNF standards, and pursue ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP preferred; CFY candidates may be considered.
• 2+ years in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare, PDPM, and SNF documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' speech, language, cognition, and swallowing.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tied to resident goals.
• Provide interventions for speech, voice, fluency, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Educate residents and families on communication and safe swallowing.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to optimize outcomes.
• Document evaluations and treatment activities per policies and HIPAA.
