Job summary

Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents and determine therapy needs, create and update treatment plans, and coordinate with the healthcare team. You will supervise CFY and student therapists and provide in-services to staff to support resident care.

The role emphasizes thorough documentation, discharge planning, and collaboration with physicians and families to ensure optimal outcomes for residents in a SNF setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Masters/Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state; maintain licensure and CE requirements.
• CPR certification if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clinical Fellows and students as applicable.
• Communicate progress, goals and discharge planning with physicians, nursing staff, residents and families.
• Provide in-services and training for facility staff as needed.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Assist with resident care conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
