Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• Licensure as required by the State of Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Conducts speech-language pathology screenings and evaluations to determine cognitive/communicative and/or swallowing status.
• Develops and implements treatment plans to maximize independence per ASHA standards.
• Assesses effects of treatment and modifies plans for maximum benefit.
• Provides documentation to maintain quality medical records and reimbursement compliance.
• Educates patients and families in procedures to be continued at home.
