Job summary

Rivetus Rehabilitation in Livonia, MI seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation and treatment of cognitive/communication and swallowing disorders in geriatric post-acute patients. You will assess, plan, document, and work with a multidisciplinary team in skilled nursing facilities.

You will supervise CFY, collaborate with physicians, and participate in QA activities while delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• Licensure as required by the State of Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Conducts speech-language pathology screenings and evaluations using standardized tests.
• Develops and implements treatment plans to maximize independence per ASHA standards.
• Assesses treatment effects and adjusts plans for maximum benefit.
• Supervises CFY as assigned and in accordance with ASHA standards.
• Collaborates with physicians and other practitioners to integrate therapy with overall care.
• Documents care accurately to maintain medical records and reimbursement guidelines.
• Participates in patient and family care conferences and educates on home exercises.
• Engages in Quality Assurance activities, continuing education, and program development.
• Participates in new program development to expand clinical services.
