Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Legacy Pointe is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. The role focuses on geriatric care in a skilled nursing facility setting, with emphasis on improving residents' quality of life.

Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, therapy implementation, documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Omaha (NE).
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA preferred.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric setting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments and resident needs.
• Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions to improve communication and swallowing.
• Document progress with accurate records and clinical notes; communicate with the care team.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and families; participate in care planning.
