Job summary

Ridge Valley Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. You will work within an interdisciplinary team and deliver evidence-based therapy to help older adults regain independence.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in SLP, NC licensure, and preferably CCC-SLP; CFY candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required for licensure as SLP.
• Current North Carolina SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA preferred; CFY candidates encouraged to apply.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals, clinical findings, and resident goals.
• Provide skilled SLP services through individual and group therapy sessions.
• Evaluate and treat dysphagia using evidence-based assessment and intervention techniques.
• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Complete timely documentation and ensure compliance with regulations and facility policies.
