Job summary

Ridge Valley Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support residents through comprehensive therapy and interdisciplinary care. The SLP will evaluate and treat swallowing and communication disorders, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to optimize outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, valid state SLP licensure, and CCC-SLP may be preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Valid state licensure as an SLP required.
  • CCC-SLP preferred but not required.
  • Experience in long-term care is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for working with the geriatric population.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with nursing, rehab, and medical staff to ensure effective outcomes
  • Provide education to families and staff on therapy techniques and communication strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with all guidelines
