Job summary
Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in East Hawaiʻi is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, resident-centered care to our nursing home residents. You will oversee nursing care delivery, collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team, and lead CNAs and other nursing staff.

- Active RN license in Hawaii.
- Recent clinical experience, preferably in geriatric nursing.
- Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ physical, emotional, and clinical needs; develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care with residents and the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide safe, effective nursing care including medication administration, monitoring, documentation, and responding to changes.
- Communicate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals regarding resident conditions and discharge planning.
- Supervise and direct CNAs and nursing staff to ensure staffing and quality care.
- Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff and address performance concerns.
- Promote resident rights, safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance while supporting quality improvement.
