Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care for residents in a post-acute care setting. The RN will administer medications, transcribe physician orders, manage med inventories, and perform admissions, transfers, and discharges per policy and care plans.

Required is a Hawaii RN license and nursing degree from an accredited program, with geriatrics experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• First Aid and CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications/treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.
• Takes telephone orders from physicians and transcribes orders to new medication administration record, the pre-printed physician order sheet, resident chart, treatment/care plans as appropriate.
• Maintains & orders appropriate inventory of resident medications and medical stock supplies.
• Conducts accurate physical assessments of residents, determines their needs and implements appropriate interventions to meet those needs.
• Performs assessments on admission, transfer and/or discharges.
