Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a contracted position serving residents on an assigned unit within a State of Arizona facility. The role involves administering medications and therapies, performing nursing assessments, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality geriatric care.

The job requires active AZ RN licensure and preferred experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings.

Qualifications

• Current license as Registered Nurse in Arizona.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility or long-term care preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication and treatments on an assigned unit as ordered by the physician and within scope of license.
• Receive and deliver information regarding residents’ medical, social, functional and other needs.
• Participate in receiving and giving shift reports.
• Communicate with residents, family and staff to ensure appropriate care by the interdisciplinary team.
• Perform initial admission nursing assessment and assist with MDS planning and ongoing care plans.
• Maintain clinical and administrative documentation of diagnoses, assessments, treatments and progress.
• Lead and supervise subordinate staff and assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, mobility).
• Participate in in-service training and staff development; support AMS-based improvement initiatives.
• Apply nursing knowledge across geriatric care, team nursing, and pharmacology safety.
