Job summary

Vantage at Lowell is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide resident care under supervision, requiring a 2-year PTA associate degree, NPTE passage, and licensure. Prior long-term care experience is preferred.

You will assist the PT, schedule treatments, and educate residents and families, ensuring PPS compliance and accurate documentation. Supervision of techs and student clinicians is involved.

Qualifications

• Graduate of APTA accredited PTA school and eligible for licensure in the state they are practicing in.
• Prior long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the PT in providing physical therapy treatments to residents as determined by the Plan of Care.
• Manages caseload with supervisor by scheduling treatment individually or in groups while maintaining efficiency expectations.
• Instructs resident, family, and caregivers in PT to be continued upon discharge.
• Adheres to PPS guidelines, ensures all PT documentation/treatment conforms to documentation/billing policies and procedures.
• Working with PT, provides oversight and direction of techs and assists in the supervision and education of affiliating students.
