Job summary

mbhealthcare is seeking a PTA to join the therapy team in a long-term care setting. You will assist residents with prescribed exercises, document motor function, and support mobility improvement under PT supervision.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, explaining exercises, and ensuring equipment use safety. Credentialed with an accredited PTA program and state license, experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current State PTA License.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• PTA will work as part of the Therapy Team under the guidance of PT.
• Measure and record Residents' motor function, strength and muscle performance.
• Observe Residents and write progress reports.
• Assist Residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat Residents with various techniques, like stretching and massage.
• Help Residents use necessary equipment and devices.
• Educate Residents on how to exercise properly to strengthen muscle and improve mobility.
• Maintain Residents' confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contribute to the entire team effort and goals.
