Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Florida is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to carry out targeted, best-practice treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will implement goals set by the OT and help deliver patient-centered care in a long-term/geriatric setting.

Candidates should have an active COTA license, strong documentation skills, and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to write progress notes.
• Excellent patient service skills and professional demeanor.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best-practice treatments under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide treatment per goals developed by the OT and report progress.
• Document patient progression on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.
• Perform other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
