Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Florida is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to assist in carrying out therapy plans under OT supervision, focusing on geriatric rehab and long-term care. You will contribute to patient goals and deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.

You will document weekly progress, collaborate with all disciplines to ensure patient-centered outcomes, and maintain professionalism and punctuality in a dynamic care setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Provide treatment adhering to goals developed by the OT.
• Document patient progress and communicate with supervision OT as required.
• Collaborate with disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.
• Perform duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
